Bagkus ay tumutulong pa ang mga ito sa pag po-protekta sa teritoryo ng ating bansa. Kaya kung Pilipino ka at mahal mo ang Pilipinas, dapat lamang na i-share at ipakita ang video na ito sa BUONG mundo. Ito ay obligasyon natin bilang isang mabuting mamamayan ng ating bansa.

New Cyberforce

I just got Cyberforce #2 today from Comic Odyssey in Robinsons Galleria. I got it for about only P30. It is actually FREE within the U.S. ,but obviously because of the shipping fee, it cannot be totally free here in the Philippines. But still, P30 is so very cheap (basically a steal) for this high quality comics.

Pirated BUKO

This is Bembol Buko. One of the character that Bien del Rosario created for this Adoboverse. As I have posted before I will be working with him on the next issue of Kalayaan (Issue #14 where Kalayaan goes to Adoboverse). Bembol Buko is actually not included on the script that I created of Kalayaan #14. But I was very surprised a few days ago....

One afternoon, when I was going to fetch my youngest daughter from her school in North Fairview. I saw this Buko stand with his character on his front tarp. I immediately recognized Bembol Buko and text Bien about it. He was pretty upset but I guess he is just too nice that he just let it go. He just simply said that the one who created that tarp probably just googled the image. I guess they are just too lazy to create their own original character and just steal someone else. Na Sotto ang charcter ni Bien. :-(

I thought that this kind of thing only happens to a Big company like Marvel and DC. Pati pala ang mga Indie na tulad namin ay na Pi-Pirata na rin ang mga characters. This is just very sad, there is no telling that others are still out there. It was purely chance that I saw this. What if there is another naughty  guy outher somewhere in... let's say in Mindanao or Visayas area that decided to do this same kind of thing. We could never know. :-(

Kalayaan #14

Kalayaan #14 - In this issue, as the cover says. Kalayaan will go to Adoboverse. For those who have already bought the previous issue, this answers the question of the last page.

Sa maniwala po kayo o sa hindi. Marunong din po ako ng Catoony na style ng pag-du-drawing. Mapalad po akong pinagkatiwalaan ni Bien del Rosario (creator of Adoboverse) na iguhit ang kanyang mga characters. Kaya sana po ay pagkatiwalaan nyo rin po ako. Maraming salamat.

Lucky 13

In page 2, Captain Guerrero (of TRESE) made an appearance. Thank you very much to Budjette Tan for allowing me to use this character.

Page 3 show Kalayaan (a little bit) new costume. With a gap on his neck line to make it easier to move around. I got that idea when I saw a Kalayaan on real life via cosplayer. It seams to me that it is a little bit awkward turtle neck costume on a hot Philippine island. And the gap will just make the suit more comfortable to wear. 

Page 10 show that Kalayaan is much faster than Nelong Nuclear. 

Page 13 to 15 is done by Edgar Tadeo. He is currently the artist of BionicMan comics under Dynamite Entertainment. Please do check it out.

Page 16 - Kalayaan is already bloody with all the beating that Nelo gave him. This is some of the scene that I really love to see in colors.

GTMACCON 2 at U.P.

I will be attending GTMACCON 2 this Saturday at U.P. College of Mass Communication. For those of you who do not know how to get there, I have provided a map. Just click on the image below to enlarge it. The venue is very much near to U.P. Bahay ng Alumni where the former Komikon was held. So from Philcoa, you can ride the U.P. ikot jeep. Get off at Roces st. corner Magsaysay ave. and walk towards there. Or you could also get off at the U.P. Oblation area and towards towards there also. I hope this helps and see you all there.

K13 preview and Kalayaan Vol.1 readers review

After being so busy with work, I finally finished another page of my comics. Here is Page 10 of Kalayaan #13. I hope you like it.

After googling my name, I just found out some reviews on Kalayaan Vol.1. And I may say that they are a very fair review. This one is from Jumper Cable.

I really agree on their comments. And their observation are dead on accurate. I burst in to laughter when Nicolo Yu said " His art has a Rob Liefeld vibe" ... I was so happy because unlike other people, I am a Rob Liefeld fan. I am also happy that they have noticed that there is an improvement on my drawing. It is a constant thing that I am trying to improve. And thank GOD that some people are already noticing it. 

Sewer System

I think it is quite obvious that what the Philippine need is a good sewer system. A very dependable one, so that the flooding in Metro Manila or even the provinces will not happen again. It is just common sense, but just like what a wise man that I know always says "Common Sense is not very Common now a days".

And when I say a good sewer system, what I truly meant was a BIG sewer system. A kind that a 16 wheeler truck could fit. Hindi yung tag 2 or 3 feet lang ang diameter na isang aso lang ang pwedeng mag kasya. 

Here is an example in London-Paris.

Ganyang sewer system ang pwedeng pag-skate-boardan ng mga Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Yung tipong kayang kayang iligaw ni Harison Ford si Tommy Lee Jones sa movie na 'The Fugitive' dahil sa sobrang laki. Yung pwedeng mag-gera ang Aliens at Predator katulad ng nangyari dun sa Alien VS. Predetor :Requelm. At para dun sa mga kakapanood lang ng Spiderman, maluwang nag laban si Spidey at si Lizard sa New York sewer system di ba? At pwede ring gawing kuta ni Bane at ng kanyang mga bataan katulad sa last Batman movie. 

I know that making these sewer system are expensive. At siguradong may mag sasabing "Saan tayo kukuha ng pera?". But I believe that if there's a Will, there's a way. And you just could not put a price tag on peoples lives.
