Did you know?

Did you know that Randy "The Natural" Couture of the UFC, was the Scorpion King?

As a huge UFC fan that I am. I was surprise that I only know this recently. The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior was released in USA last August 19,2008. Too bad Randy loosed his Heavyweight title to Brock Lesnar. Win, Loose or Draw... I still love Randy because he is such a nice person. Very humble, my hero of the UFC.

I actually saw the movie, and Randy is not the Scorpion King. The young Scorpion King was played by actor Michael Copon, who is actually half-Filipino.

Yo, Gio! pareho pala tayong mma/ufc fan. speaking of mma and half-filipino issues, aside from brandon vera there are other two half-flips who's trying their luck in this new sport. I'm not sure kung ipinapalabas dyan ang "the ulimate fighter", a reality show for ufc hopefuls. In its last season show, explosive Fil-Am Philippe Nover was a 4-1 favorite lightweight finalist. But he was outplayed by a boring wrestler and eventually lost to a decision. He's a deadly striker and knew submissions too. But he's yet to improve his takedown defense, had he knew how to sprawl he could have been the Ultimate Fighter Champion and had live to what as Dana White had dubbed him as the next "Anderson Silva" or the "young GSP". Sayang! Pero it's not yet over for him, we'll still see him in the future ufc fights. Another Fil-Am light heavyweight striker with wrestling background Mark Munoz recently signed with ufc. He is from WEC. With 3 promising Fil-Ams in ufc, malamang matuloy na ang UFC Philippines na plano ni Dana White. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
