Filipino animators
Please support our very own Filipino animators by watching this movie. I have not seen the movie yet, but I have heard so many very good comments about it.
Now If only ABS-CBN could make a Bayan Knights or Kalayaan 3D animation like this, I would smile for a whole week. :-)

Kalayaan 11 preview
I have been so busy this past few weeks, and I will be much more busy on this coming year. It is because our company will start to migrate into a web-based data entry for all of our branches. This means that I would be studying more and more about web-based programming language such as HTML,CSS,PHP and MySQL.
And because of that, I have decided to release Kalayaan #11 on February (as seen on the image below). I have already finished 10 pages and still have to finish 10 more. I just had a quick chat with sputnik telling me that many people are already asking for this issue. That is why I am posting this preview pages. And our chat had also motivated me to work harder on this issue since I do not want to disappoint those people that had asked by making them wait for a long time.
The final cover of Kalayaan #11. Many thanks to Omi Remalante,Jr. for coloring this.

Chopsticks fan art
During the PICCA event, a few months ago. I met Stanley Chi of Front Act. He is a tv personality, comedian and a cartoonist. He had asked me to create a Chopsticks fan art for him. Chopsticks is his very own comicstrip that he published. I hope he likes this quick sketch that I did for him.

Complementary copy
I finally got my complementary copy of Kalayaan #3 from Forex Cargo Inc. (my publisher abroad). And as expected, the print quality is very much satisfactory.
Forex have just rearranged the pages for their ads, which is okay with me.
I also got the newest issue of 'WOW Pinas' where Komikon 2010 has a two page, thanks to KC Cordero. I bought two copies of these. One for my self, and one for my parents. And they were very happy to see my face there. :-)

Which cover should I use?
KALAYAAN #11 Color Cover by Omi Remalante, Jr.
Which color cover do you like?
The one on the left? or the one on the right?
Which color cover do you like?
The one on the left? or the one on the right?
I had a conversation with my colorist and good friend Omi Remalante Jr. He wanted the one on the left but I wanted the one on the right. He made a very good point that people might think that the girl is a giant if I choose the one on the right since they have the same color tones. And he said the one on the left is much better because the colors made the girl looked more like a background and it gives emphasis of the foreground which is Kalayaan. But with even that said, I still kinda like the one on the right. But if more people like the one on the left then I would have no choice but to use that one.
So I decided to post both version here one my blog and have a little survey on which one the people likes better. I also posted this on facebook and the current score is on my favor. :D
